"Reasonable price. There was a gap in our corian countertop after replacing the cooktop. A new piece was laminated in and an old seam that had discolored was repaired. The fixes are invisible! Perfect work. Personnel were professional, polite, meticulous, and efficient. Friendly too. I recommend the firm without reservation."

The Process

How Professional Marble Restoration Works

Most homeowners ask us one version of the same question: "My marble is dull and damaged — what do you actually do to fix it?" Here is the honest, step-by-step process our technicians follow on nearly every restoration job.

1

Assessment

We inspect the stone to identify the type of marble, its finish (glossy or honed), and the specific damage — etches, scratches, stains, cracks, or general dullness. This determines the tooling and diamond grit we use and whether the job needs full restoration or a lighter touch.

2

Deep Cleaning & Grinding

The surface is deep-cleaned to remove embedded dirt, old wax, and residue. For deeper damage, we use diamond grinding discs to remove a microscopic top layer of stone — leveling out etches, scratches, and wear across the entire surface.

3

Honing

After grinding removes the damage, we hone the surface with finer diamond pads to smooth it out and prepare it for polish. Honing can also be the final finish you want — a low-sheen, satin look that hides wear on busy floors.

4

Polishing

Using increasingly fine diamond pads, we progressively restore the mirror-like gloss to the marble. Polishing compound and crystallization bring out deep, reflective shine — the classic high-gloss marble look.

5

Sealing & Protection

The last step protects your investment. A premium penetrating sealer is applied to block stains and make daily cleaning easier. For countertops prone to etching, we can apply an anti-etch coating for extra defense.

By Surface

Restoration by Surface Type

Marble restoration isn't one-size-fits-all. Floors, countertops, and bathrooms each face different wear and require different techniques. Here's what's involved for each.

Marble Floor Restoration

Marble floors take the hardest beating — foot traffic grinds dirt and grit into the surface, causing dullness, scratches, and worn pathways over time. Floor restoration involves diamond grinding to level the surface, honing to a smooth finish, and polishing or crystallization to restore the shine.

For residential entryways, hallways, and staircases, and for commercial lobbies — where the marble must stay presentable every single day — we offer everything from a one-time deep restoration to an ongoing maintenance program. High-traffic floors are often finished to a honed (satin) look, which shows less wear, but we can also achieve a deep gloss if that's the aesthetic you want.

Bathroom Marble Restoration

Bathrooms are uniquely hard on marble. Shower walls face hard-water film and soap scum, vanities get water rings and beauty-product stains, and grout lines darken and crack. Restoring a bathroom means addressing the stone and the grout and caulk that hold the installation together.

Our bathroom work covers marble shower walls, shower floor restoration, vanity tops, and tub surrounds. Alongside polishing and sealing the marble, we professionally restore grout — deep-cleaning, repairing cracked joints, regrouting, and recaulking — so the whole bathroom looks fresh and watertight again.

We replace old, moldy silicone caulk with fresh, mildew-resistant seal and repair any loose tiles before addressing the marble surface.

Restore My Bathroom

Marble Countertop Restoration

Kitchen islands and countertops are the most prone to acid etching — a single lemon slice, a glass of wine, or even some cleaning sprays can leave dull white marks. Countertop restoration focuses on removing etches, scratches, and heat rings, then sealing and applying anti-etch protection.

Because you use these surfaces every day, we use techniques that blend the repair seamlessly into the surrounding stone — you'll never be able to find where the old etch was.
